Philly SHRM Webinar

During this one-hour webinar, we will provide an overview of the most recent developments in federal, state and local labor and employment law. We will provide an overview of recent developments and appointments in the Trump administration related to the EEOC, NLRB and DOL, and proposed legislation in Congress. We will also discuss recent Supreme Court labor and employment decisions and provide a sneak peak of the labor and employment cases to look out for in the Court’s upcoming term. We will also update you on notable local court decisions related to standards applied in harassment and FMLA claims, as well as employee inspections of personnel records. Finally, we will discuss the new Philadelphia ordinance on pay history and provide tips on compliance best practices.

Terri Gillespie – Of Counsel, Jackson Lewis

Terri Gillespie is Of Counsel in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.
Ms. Gillespie advises and represents employers and management in a broad range of employment law matters, including those involving discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. She also works with clients to avoid disputes by helping them comply with appropriate laws, manage employee relations, and resolve disputes. She regularly represents clients in workplace law cases filed in both federal and state courts, as well as equal employment opportunity and labor relations matters pending before federal and state agencies.

Ms. Gillespie provides training to clients and their employees on a wide variety of employment­-related topics, such as diversity, hiring, discipline and discharge, anti­-harassment, Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, and wage and hour compliance.

Teleicia J. R. Dambreville – Associate [Attorney] at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC

Teleicia’s labor and employment law practice encompasses various aspects of litigation and proactive counseling. Her practice ranges from counseling employer on hiring and termination decisions, including reduction-in-force decisions, and compliance with federal and state employment laws, to drafting employee handbooks and policies. She has extensive experience representing management in employment litigation matters, including discrimination and retaliation, wrongful termination and promotion, and harassment and hostile work environment claims and cases. Teleicia also represents employers in single-plaintiff discrimination cases at both the administrative level and in federal and state court.

Teleicia regularly advises her clients on best practices in both traditional and non-traditional labor relations, providing counsel to both union and non-union employers.
