Philly SHRM Webinar

For many companies, the policy phase of the LGBTQ workplace inclusion journey has been completed. Non-discrimination and EEO policies have long been amended to include protections for sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. In some companies, even comprehensive transition guidelines designed to create an environment of support and collaboration for transgender employees, have also been adopted.

A new phase of work that is equally, if not more, important must begin, if it hasn’t already: moving from policy to practice.

The reality of the matter is that for many companies, the next chapter of the workplace inclusion story will involve focusing on taking the necessary steps that will breathe life into the foundational policies they have established to protect and include their LGBTQ employees. This is of particular importance for the transgender and gender non-conforming employee population.

Additionally, the vital of importance of allies and ally development within our workplaces cannot be overstated. For every employee that identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community knowing that their straight colleagues are by their side supporting them in their journey is empowering – and can spark innovation across the enterprise.

Please join Stephanie Battaglino for this informative and lively webinar as she guides you through the practical steps necessary to imbue your organization with the skills necessary to make this critical transformation.
