Session Overview:

In today’s dynamic workplace, HR professionals play a critical role in fostering a harmonious environment where the needs of both employees and leadership are met. In this interactive fireside chat, we’re joined by Jackie Linton, President of JL HR Solutions and leadership development specialist. We’ll have a collaborative conversation and Q&A about how to strike the delicate balance between being an advocate for the workforce and a strategic partner for the organization. This session is designed for HR professionals that are interested in advancing into leadership roles in the short or long-term.

Meet the Speaker: 

Jackie Linton, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, Jackie Linton is the President of JL HR Solutions, LLC, a full-service HR consulting firm focusing on executive coaching; talent management strategies; HR strategic planning; HR policies and process improvements; diversity equity and inclusion improvement strategies; and training and
development for small and mid-sized companies and non-profits.

Jackie uses a systems approach to solve problems grounded in thorough research and best practices. She has created enterprise-wide solutions for various companies and non-profits which have significantly improved operating results. She has successfully completed projects in the areas of HR strategies, particularly related to diversity, equity and inclusion, policy development, process improvement, training and development, change management, and other talent management initiatives, all in support of achieving business goals. She designs and delivers strategic solutions for organizations,
development experiences for leaders at all levels and coaching engagements for executives to facilitate
sustainable results.

Jackie started her career as an Industrial Engineer in the manufacturing setting which has positioned her to logically solve problems and to appreciate the importance of delivering on expectations in a timely way. Before starting this HR practice, she held numerous executive level positions including Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for HR&Talent for the City of Philadelphia, Chief Human Resource executive for Synagro, Vice President of Organization and Leadership Development at ARAMARK Corp. and Vice President of Human Resources at Intracorp, a subsidiary of CIGNA Corp. She transitioned from operations to HR at FMC where she worked in multiple functions including engineering, operations, and HR. In addition to
servicing her clients, she continues to work with the Fox School of Business as an adjunct professor in the Fox Management Consulting Group and she develops and delivers executive level programs for the Center for Executive Education, Fox School of Business.

Jackie also actively volunteers in the community. She is the past President of Philly SHRM, the Philadelphia chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, the largest chapter in the region. She serves on the board of the Philadelphia Housing Development Corp where she leads the HR Advisory Committee. She also serves on the board of Women Against Abuse where she chairs the Personnel Committee and co-chairs the Governance Committee. She was a finalist for the 2017 HR Person of the Year and the 2023 Consultant of the Year. She has served as an advisor working closely with MBA students at the Fox School of Business at Temple University as they complete their capstone projects. Her volunteer experience also includes past membership on the board of Career Wardrobe, a counselor for SCORE, and a tutor for adult learners with the
Lutheran House.

She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois.
