Free Lunch Telehealth Seminar
Join Thomas Jefferson University on October 11, 2016 for a free lunch, for an informative event discussing Telehealth and Thomas Jefferson University’s Telehealth offering JeffConnect. Dr. Judd Hollander, Associate Dean for Strategic Health Initiatives and Vice Chair, Finance and Health Enterprises for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University will provide an overview of the JeffConnect telehealth model of care, as a care continuum model that allows patients to be seen when and where they choose for their periodic and follow-up scheduled visit care, with their Jefferson Physicians.
He will also speak to the continuum of care framework which sets the stage for the provision of a value-based health care model. Dr. Hollander will discuss the care continuum of the patient from baseline health through the moderately sick, critically sick and through the patient’s recovery or rehab phases of care.
The On-Demand care model will be proposed as a model to handle episodic care. Dr. Hollander will discuss how the On-Demand model enhances the care delivery model at a fiscally beneficial structure for both the patients and the payers and how the goal of for patient care is to deliver the highest level of care at the lowest cost to patients and payers.
Dr.Hollander as an Emergency Physician is best situated to speak to the over utilization and waste when the emergency room is over utilized compared to that of Urgent care or telehealth as a model to receive the care that is needed.
