Connect with the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia is partnering with Accenture, Philadelphia Works, and Graduate! Philadelphia to help our region’s residents learn the skills they need to be successful in the jobs of the future.
Over the next two years, the Skills to Succeed Learning Platform will train 5,000 learners who have been dislocated from their jobs as a result of the pandemic or by a system that has lacked support for Black and brown workers. We are asking local employers to partner with us in this initiative by asking you to consider striving to interview and hire these learners over the next two years.
The initiative will offer three learning tracks to provide focused-training in the areas with the most opportunity for employment in our region. The platform will also provide options for overall skill development These tracks include:
- Entrepreneurship with a focus on learning how to start your own business. (Mentor opportunities)
- Health Tech and Administration seeking to train specialists in the fields of Medical Records, Billing and Coding, Clerking, and Care Management.
- Information Technology to train our region’s next wave of Network & Computer Systems Administrators, IT Support Specialists, and Customer Support/Help Desk personnel.
If you would like to learn more or join us in this initiative, please reach out to Patty Day at pday@chamberphl.com by Wednesday, December 16.
