Why do you love HR?

I love HR because it allows me to make a meaningful impact on people while helping organizations succeed. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to support employees at every stage of their journey, from recruiting and onboarding to creating experiences that help people feel engaged, valued, and connected at work. What keeps me passionate about this field is the human element. I enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and being a trusted resource for both employees and leaders. There is something incredibly rewarding about helping someone find an opportunity, navigate a challenge, or feel a greater sense of belonging in the workplace. HR sits at the intersection of people and business, and I love being able to balance strategy with genuine care for others. Knowing that my work helps create a positive employee experience and a stronger workplace culture is what makes HR more than a career for me.

What do you love about Philly SHRM?

I love Philly SHRM because of the community it provides. From the moment I became involved, I found it to be a welcoming network of HR professionals who are genuinely willing to share ideas, support one another, and help each other grow. The networking opportunities are incredibly valuable, but what stands out most is the quality of the relationships. The people are authentic, approachable, and passionate about the HR profession, which makes every event and conversation meaningful. Philly SHRM has given me the chance to learn from others, expand my network, and build connections that extend beyond professional development, and that’s what makes it such a special organization to be part of.

Anything else you would like to share with our Philly SHRM community?

One thing I’d love to share with the Philly SHRM community is that I’m always excited to connect with fellow HR professionals. My company was recently acquired, and as I navigate what that may mean for my next career chapter, I’m open to opportunities that will help me continue growing in employee experience, talent, and culture-focused work. More importantly, I’m always looking to expand my network and learn from others in the profession. I consider relationship-building one of my strengths, and I’m a firm believer that some of the best ideas and opportunities come from genuine conversations. So if you’d ever like to chat about HR, employee experience, talent acquisition, career growth, or just compare notes over a cup of coffee, I’d love to connect. As a fun fact, I attended Temple University twice and proudly consider myself a lifelong Owl! This will be my 3rd term serving on the young alumni board.
