Why do you love HR?

There are so many reasons why I love working in HR. I believe that the number one reason why I love HR is because of the opportunity to work in different areas and still be focused on people. I had several different roles throughout my HR career. I’ve had an opportunity to work in Talent Acquisition to being in a role similar to a HR Generalist to working in Talent Management. You do not have to settle for being in a box while working in HR. You have the opportunity to be expose to different areas and make an impact on others.

What do you love about Philly SHRM?

What I love most about Philly SHRM is the sense of community, support, and resources that’s available to the members. I’ve joined Philly SHRM over 10 years ago. I know that I am a better HR professional because of this community.

Anything else you would like to share with our Philly SHRM community?

Fun fact: I am somewhat afraid of heights and I biked over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, CA.
