Why do you love HR?

I chose to pursue Human Resources as a career after listening to my grandmother tell me about her experiences at work. This led me to become intrigued about the world of HR. During my undergraduate career at Penn State I decided to enroll in introduction courses for Human Resources. And from there I’ve been eager to learn more every day. The world of Human Resources is ever evolving, that’s what I enjoy about it the most.

What do you love about Philly SHRM?

Philly SHRM – one word AMAZING! Being a part of this organization has allowed me to experience and grow outside of my day job. I have supported our annual symposium for some time. Our symposium gives you the opportunity to network and gain more knowledge and best practices in HR. I also a volunteer for our Marketing and Communications Committee, which I enjoy. This committee opens up my creative space and challenges me to develop marketing techniques for our social media sites.
